cfa3级暂时没有具体的通过标准，CFA协会会把考生各个科目成绩汇总做加权平均，从而评判考生是否能通过考试。评分标准根据历年考生的实际通过情况进行估算，具体为考生正确的答案数量≥全球成绩排名前1%的考生的平均正确答案数量的70%。考试成绩分为“Pass”或者“Fail”两种。
cfa3级考试考《职业伦理道德》、《经济学》、《投资组合管理》、《权益投资》、《固定收益投资》、《衍生品投资》、《其他投资》，共七个科目的内容。考试时间为4小时24分钟，分为两个相等的2小时12分钟的时间段，中间有可选的休息时间。
